.....Möbius, Möbius, who is f*** is Möbius!

This image is based on The Möbius strip, which is a one-sided nonorientable surface obtained by cutting a closed band into a single strip, giving one of the two ends thus produced a half twist, and then reattaching the two ends. Rather than doing a single half twist, I've done several. To this, i've added a bit of DoF and Bob's your uncle...maybe not!

> Includes
Only standard POV-Ray includes were used in creating the image. MegaPOV was required for the HDRI lighting aspect.
> Textures
The thing that really sets off the image is the texture used in the ground plane. It's a lovely neon type blue shiny plastic. In addition, normals were added to give a slightly blurred reflection - one of the nicest tectures I've ever made. the rings were simply a standard polished chrome texture.
> Objects
The rings were created using the Loops technique described by Friedrich Lohmueller on his site. Basically a profile is created which is then looped and rotated around a circle using small steps - this creates the object. The objects were then duplicated and evenly spaced in the x & z directions. A simple plane was used for the ground.
> Scene
For the HDRI lighting, i used the hdri-23 color image available on the Sachform.de website. The HDRI image, I think works really well, showing nice reflection in the chrome rings but also giving some nice reflections on the blue plastic.
> Post Processing
A small adjustment was made to the brightness and contrast of the image in Photoshop and the depth of field was added using Depth of Field Generator Pro by using a depth map generated in MegaPOV. I also experimented using just a vertical gradient but the results were not as good!
