Based on an original works by Gena Obukhov, this is a remake using HDRI. A beta test version of Studio Lighting created by Jaime Vives Piqueres was used to give a studio feel!

> Includes
The matreshka dolls are provided as one of the include files and also the studio backdrop to give that studio feel. MegaPOV was used to achieve the HDRI lighting aspect.
> Textures
The thing that really sets off the image are the image maps used for the matreshka. Gena's brilliant work not mine. A diffuse setting of 0.9 and a small reflection give the dolls a bit of shine. You can see the umbrella in the reflection on the dolls head.
> Objects
Not too many objects in the scene - not overly complex but I personally like that. The dolls themselves are varying sizes of 'blob' objects.
> Scene
For the HDRI lighting, I generated the HDR map using megapov and the soon to be released studio lighting by Jaime. This simulates real studio lighting conditions and uses his Lightsys automatic light system to generate the maps. Brilliant!
> Post Processing
A small adjustment was made to the brightness and contrast of the image in Photoshop and the depth of field was added using Depth of Field Generator Pro by using a depth map generated in MegaPOV.
> Credits
Thanks to Jaime Vives Piqueres for a beta release of his studio lighting. Also many thanks to Gena Obukhov for the beutiful matreshka image maps. |
